The Department of Health Sciences invites applications for two full-time PhD studentships funded by the White Rose ESRC Doctoral Training Centre (WR DTC) which are aligned to the Health and Wellbeing pathway (http://www.wrdtc.ac.uk/). These studentships, due to commence in October 2016, will provide a comprehensive training package, tailored to meet the needs of individual students, across a wide range of health research methodologies.
Applications are welcomed from individuals with research interests across all areas of health but in particular cardiovascular health, cancer epidemiology, trials, statistics, mental health and addiction, public health and health policy (http://www.york.ac.uk/healthsciences/research/).
ESRC WR DTC studentships are available on a 1 + 3 (Masters + PhD) or + 3 (PhD only).
Subject to ESRC eligibility criteria, the studentships will cover tuition fees at the UK/EU rate and an annual stipend for three years at Research Council rates. For 2015/16 the basic stipend for ESRC studentships 2015/16 is £14,057 (2016/17 rate to be confirmed).
