The School of Nursing and Midwifery at Staffordshire University is a vibrant and forward thinking School, with a reputation for excellence in professional education at both undergraduate and post graduate levels.
Currently we are seeking to appoint a Professor in Nursing in partnership with the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM). This post is offered on a permanent, full time 1.0fte basis. The successful candidate will work 0.5fte within the Staffordshire University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Stafford Campus and 0.5fte within the UHNM each week.
You will join the University/Trust at a time when health care education and care delivery is undergoing rapid change and we are looking for an individual who can work effectively and flexibly with partners and staff to ensure our courses/service provision lead the way in research informed care. The suitable candidate will contribute and lead in the area of care of the older person with mental health issues within the acute adult nursing environment.
This post is part of a commitment by both organisations to develop and grow the research activity in Nursing. The successful candidate will be registered on the appropriate part of the NMC register, hold a PhD and have significant experience in research activity and leading research and academic teams. You will be able to demonstrate experience of successful grant applications and income generation.
