Staffordshire University is investing £5millon at our Stafford and Shrewsbury sites – creating Centres of Excellence for Health Care Education. At this exciting time an opportunity has arisen for a nurse/midwife to join our team as a full-time Senior Lecturer. You will join a team that embraces innovation and aspires to be forward thinking in approach nursing and midwifery education. Our courses aim to be student centred and provide experience in a range of settings with our partner NHS Trusts and independent organisations.
The focus of this job will be in developing and maintaining our practice based learning and mentor/student support in the clinical area. You must have post-registration experience, an NMC teacher qualification and active registration with the NMC. You should possess a higher degree in Nursing or a closely related subject and have experience of teaching and managing practice based learning either in the clinical area or in higher education. You of course will be an enthusiastic, innovative and flexible individual with commitment to ensuring an excellent and supportive student experience and have a thought understanding of relevant NMC quality standards.
