An opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered nurse to join the community nursing academic team as a full-time Senior Lecturer within the Faculty of Health Sciences at Staffordshire University. You will join a team that embraces innovation and aspires to be forward thinking in their approach to community nursing and a University which is investing £4million in Health Professions education facilities.

You will join the University at a time when health care education and care delivery is undergoing rapid change and we are looking for an individual who can work effectively and flexibly with partners and staff to ensure our course provision, both undergraduate and post graduate level, meets current and future expectations of all partner organisations. As an ambassador for the Faculty you will raise Staffordshire University’s profile locally and nationally in the community nursing arena.

You must be an experienced registered adult nurse, significant experience working within a community or primary care setting, and be live on the NMC professional register. Also you will have an independent/supplementary NMC approved prescribing qualification. You must enjoy teaching and assessing students and possess a higher degree in Nursing or a closely related subject. Also desirable that you will have an NMC recordable teaching qualification.

This post is offered on a full time 1.0fte permanent basis. An enhanced DBS check (formerly CRB) is required.

The University recently announced plans to deliver the majority of facilities, services and courses from one main campus at Stoke-on-Trent by September 2016. Under the current plans, it is unlikely that this post will be affected by this decision.
