An opportunity has arisen for a midwife graduate to join the midwifery academic team as a temporary full-time Lecturer within the Faculty of Health Sciences at Staffordshire University. You will join a team that embraces innovation and aspires to be forward thinking in approach to midwifery education. Our courses aim to be student centred and provide experience in a range of settings, promoting normality and working closely with our partner Trusts. We are also eager to develop international links that promote global perspectives, with students and staff taking opportunities for electives and exchange visits.
You must have post-registration experience as a midwife and active registration with the NMC as a midwife is an essential requirement of the role. You should possess a degree in Midwifery or a closely related subject and have experience of teaching midwifery either within clinical practice or higher education. An NMC recordable teaching qualification or Master’s degree is desirable. You will be an enthusiastic, innovative and flexible individual with commitment to ensuring an excellent and supportive student experience.
This appointment is fixed term for 12 months. The position is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
