The Faculty of Health Education and Life Sciences in Birmingham City University is seeking two exceptional candidates to develop new provision as part of a period of unprecedented growth and development. Birmingham City University is investing £41 Million in a purpose built development. The 10,500m² building at City South Campus in Edgbaston will enable the University to offer a wide range of new allied health, life science and sports courses.
We are seeking two experienced HCPC registered physiotherapists with a track record of innovation and leadership, who will take a leading role the development and delivery of the new physiotherapy education within the School and contribute to the School, Faculty and University’s strategic priorities. We are seeking two candidates with excellent clinical experience and welcome applications from all areas of physiotherapy. For the senior lecturer post, the successful candidate will undertake the role of programme lead and so experience within higher education is essential.
The School is developing a range of pre-registration Allied Health Professions programmes at post-graduate level, including MSc Physiotherapy (pre-registration). Your role will be pivotal in development of this new programme by working closely with local/regional employers, students and other key stakeholders to develop graduates who are prepared for professional practice in the dynamic healthcare environment. In addition you will contribute to interprofessional learning within the faculty and you will also be involved in the support of clinical educators and students at clinical placement sites, and so the role will include clinical visits.
