Senior Lecturer (Professional Development Centre)

Salary Range:

The Professional Development Centre is situated within the College of Social Science at the University of Lincoln. Its role is to develop, manage and deliver a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and bespoke stand – alone CPD programmes in the areas of Health and Social Care, (including Postgraduate Medicine), Social Work, Psychology, Education, Law and Social & Political Science. In addition, the Centre also conducts applied Research / Evaluation and consultancy activity in the same areas.

A recent review of the Centre established a requirement for a senior lecturer to provide a coordination and academic programme management role; to lead on academic quality assurance and positive student experience; to liaise with academic staff within the wider university and to be a point of contact for external regulatory bodies regarding accreditation of professional programmes. We are therefore looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual at senior lecturer level who will have responsibility for the academic development, quality and management of a suite of programmes within the Centre, and who will liaise with internal and external stakeholders in the development, accreditation and delivery of these programmes. The successful candidate will become a member of the Professional Development Centre’s Management Group.

This is an exciting opportunity for an academic who wishes to move into a more senior position and who is looking for a role with a high degree of flexibility and considerable autonomy. The role actively promotes interprofessional and inter – sectoral collaboration and development.
