We’re recruiting for a Senior Lecturer Practitioner in General Practice Nursing in the Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine and Social Care (HEMS) at our Chelmsford/Cambridge campuses. These posts will include teaching and support on our General Practice Nurse courses and teaching for a range of Nursing Courses including traditional and apprenticeship routes, pre and post graduate. You will also be expected to contribute to the supervision of research students.

With a degree or relevant professional qualification and extensive post qualification CPD, you must hold a current registration with the NMC as a nurse. With extensive experience of working in general practice, including experience of cervical screening, you will ideally have a recordable NMC General Practice Nurse Specialist Qualification and Independent/Supplementary Prescribing Qualification. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office. You must have the ability to think innovatively and be able to meet deadlines, sometimes under pressure. You will be expected to contribute to curriculum development and work co-operatively and as part of a team. You must be have an enthusiastic and flexible approach with good interpersonal and negotiating skills and demonstrate commitment to our values with a willingness to contribute to the collective life of the Faculty.
