RGU has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to take a lead role in developing high quality practice learning for our undergraduate and postgraduate student population. This is an exciting time for the School of Nursing & Midwifery with healthy student numbers and expansion of its course provision. The post holder will have specific responsibility for the on-going development, implementation and evaluation of a School Practice Learning strategy to ensure that students on undergraduate and postgraduate courses have a first class educational experience as well as preparing them to meet the requirements and demands of professional practice. Working in partnership with the NHS and Private, Voluntary and Independent sectors throughout the North of Scotland, this post offers an unparalleled opportunity to make an impact on the future of practice education.

You will have experience of supporting student learning and assessment in practice and knowledge of NMC Standards relating to practice learning and mentor preparation. As well as being qualified to Masters level and having gained a post graduate teaching qualification, essentially, you will have a passion for practice based education and research, recognising its potential to make a difference to healthcare practice. You will have a profile of developing successful professional partnerships and a recognised ability to lead, motivate and inspire others.
