The Role

Join our dynamic and forward-looking School and in this key role you will strive to promote our School’s reputation in autonomous practice. Articulate and well respected, you will have in-depth understanding of physical assessment, clinical reasoning and non-medical prescribing. You will teach on programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including the V300, taking the lead on modules where appropriate. In particular, you will have the ability to inspire our workforce development students undertaking autonomous/advanced practice modules and will have a keen interest in developing education for this group of practitioners. Alongside being involved in the pastoral care of students, you will be encouraged and supported to further your interests in research, enterprise or professional practice.

The Person

You may have a track record of innovation in teaching supported by a teaching qualification such as UKPSF 2 or PGCHE. Alternatively, you may be a highly qualified and credible advanced practitioner and nurse prescriber, keen to consolidate a career in higher education. Whatever your background, you’ll have a minimum of a Master’s degree or equivalent in nursing/healthcare (or be working towards this), the V300 non-medical prescribing certificate, current NMC registration and proven physical assessment skills. You’ll also have a high level of clinical competence and credibility as an autonomous practitioner and non-medical prescriber, have excellent communication skills and the confidence to inspire a diverse range of students and staff to exceed all expectations.
