The School of Nursing and Midwifery is a vibrant academic community and the main provider of Nurse and Midwifery Education in the North East. The School is housed in a state of the art building, that includes accommodation that simulate both clinical and community settings providing a stimulating learning environment.
This exciting post carries a significant degree of responsibility to promote excellence in Midwifery education through innovative teaching, learning and research in collaboration with academic and clinical colleagues across the heath and social work professions. You will provide leadership for the Midwifery Team as well as supporting the operational educational provision across the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
You will be required to engage with national agendas relating to Midwifery to ensure the on going provision of contemporary Midwifery education within the School.

Salary on appointment is normally to the bottom of the scale but in exceptional circumstances, appointment higher up the scale may be considered.
