The Department of Allied Health Professions runs a full time HCPC validated/CSP accredited B.Sc.(Hons) Physiotherapy programme and a range of related undergraduate, postgraduate and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes.

The department is seeking a suitably experienced physiotherapist who has a strong research profile and experience of the research interface between academia and practice, primarily within the musculo-skeletal speciality. The successful candidate will be required to engage in research teaching and/or scholarly/professional activity to enhance and inform the teaching design, delivery and curriculum development. Within this academic post, a strong understanding of clinical academic research and the educational support required to support clinicians to further their research careers is also essential.

Responsibilities will include teaching and marking, research support for undergraduate and postgraduate students and being part of the physiotherapy team in curriculum development and quality monitoring. Input to the B.Sc. (Hons) Physiotherapy, MSc Rehabilitation and CPD modules will be expected.

The successful applicant will have sound musculoskeletal clinical and research experience as well as experience of working within an interdisciplinary team. He/she will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to close team working. The successful candidate will be qualified to PhD level in a subject relevant to this role and engaged with the NIHR integrated Clinical Academic Programme

The applicant will need to be registered with the HCPC as a physiotherapist.

This is a permanent, 0.2FTE part time vacancy, hence the pro-rated salary is from £7,921-£10,026pa.
