August 2020 sees the formation of the new School within the Faculty of Medicine and Health – a merger of the School of Medicine and School of Primary, Community and Social Care. The new School brings together a distinguished heritage of research, with professional education for health and care professions. This is an exciting time for the development of clinical education at Keele and the new School opens up a number of exciting opportunities to develop and expand inter-professional delivery, teaching and research. The post of Senior Lecturer is pivotal to the development of our newest programme, Paramedic Science, at Keele and to the future shape of the new School.
Applications are invited for the post of Senior Lecturer in Paramedic Science from individuals with experience of academic leadership in the field. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in curricula development, an interest in developing research in this arena (a PhD in Paramedic Science/Health Policy would be advantageous) and will be registered with the HCPC. Experience of teaching in Paramedic Science at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level in Higher Education is also essential, along with relevant experience of working in paramedic science practice in a UK setting.
The post is available for an immediate or as soon as possible start. The successful candidate should be able to make a significant contribution to the School’s strategic ambitions and will take a key role in further developing the subject area of Paramedic Science as well as new opportunities for multi professional collaborations across research and education.
