Salary: £40,322 to £51,034 pa depending on skills & experience.

Main duties & responsibilities
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced HCPC registered Paramedic. You will be responsible for the teaching and assessment of undergraduate/postgraduate Paramedic students at the University.

The Senior Lecturer will further be expected to contribute to the administration of the School by undertaking additional roles, such as being a module lead and joining teams involved in activities such as admissions, timetabling or programme support. You will also be expected to undertake and contribute to Paramedic research.

1.Teaching and assessment of undergraduate/postgraduate Paramedic students at the University, at their placement or place of work.
2.Utilise current evidence-base to underpin teaching and learning activities.
3.Participating, as required, in development and reviews of programmes including inter-professional developments across the School.
4.Liaising with and maintaining good relationships with academic, administrative, technical and clinical colleagues.
5.Undertaking other appropriate teaching and administrative responsibilities within the School as may be required.
6.Contribute to the interview admissions team for the undergraduate Paramedic programme, including attendance at some open weekend days
7.Contribute to the on-going evaluation and review of the School’s activities.
8.Contribute to undergraduate curriculum developments; including development, delivery and teaching on short courses, modules and programmes.
9.Undertake and contribute to Paramedic research.

Skills & Experience
You will be an experienced practising Paramedic with the HCPC with recent academic and/or clinical experience in the UK. This post would suit a Paramedic or Paramedic Practitioner with educational experience or wishing to develop a career in this area. It is essential that you have good oral and written communication skills, demonstrate a willingness to undertake paramedic research and are able to work effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications required
The successful applicant will hold a good first degree in Paramedic Science. You will have completed or be close to completing a Master’s degree in a relevant subject or have substantial relevant experience. It is essential that you are HCPC registered.
