An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of establishing Occupational Therapy (OT) provision at UCLan. We are seeking a full time Senior Lecturer in OT to join our Rehabilitation Sciences academic team in the School of Health Sciences. This post will take on the course leadership role and be pivotal in the development of occupational therapy within the School. Applicants must be enthusiastic and visionary with previous experience of teaching/lecturing in a HE environment within the OT field.

As MSc Pre-registration OT course leader the appointee will undertake course leadership roles and facilitate the teaching, learning and assessment of several modules within the discipline area of OT. Successful applicants will be supported with continuing professional development via engagement with their own research, and allied knowledge transfer/income generation.

Applicants must be registered as a full member of their relevant Professional and regulatory Body’s (RCOT and HCPC), be educated to postgraduate level with a good honours degree (or equivalent) in OT and have experience of contemporary OT practice. The successful candidate will be committed to the success of students and be able to show that they can effectively support learning and teaching in the classroom and in practice areas. The successful applicant will be educated to a minimum of Masters level and ideally hold a doctoral qualification, or be working towards one. Fellowship of HEA/ PgCert in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education or equivalent is also required.
