The Department of Nursing at Manchester Met is recruiting a Senior Lecturer in Nursing, on a full time basis. We particularly welcome applications from nurses with experience in community nursing and/or primary care. You will be required to work across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to contribute to the Department achievement of its KPIs and the University strategic plan. The Department of Nursing offer a range of education programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. These include programmes leading to registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) in adult nursing and mental health nursing, and a suite of postgraduate/post-registration programmes in nursing and health related disciplines. Our research and knowledge exchange activities focus on healthcare practice, education and policy and underpins our departmental core values of evidence based practice.
We are looking for someone with current registration on the NMC Nurses part of the register sub part 1 as an adult nurse, post-registration experience, preferably in community or primary care nursing, and an in-depth understanding of recent developments in nursing. You will have a good first degree and ideally a higher degree or equivalent qualifications.
