You will play a key role as programme lead, leading the organisation, design and delivery of our Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP) programmes. The programme is also an integral part of our Advanced Practice programme and you will be working closely with this and our community specialist practice teams.
This is an exciting time in the field of non-medical prescribing and advanced clinical practice and our dynamic and contemporary programmes of study are designed to ensure that the growing number of health care practitioners granted legal prescribing status are fully prepared for this key role of being safe and effective prescribers in practice.
We are particularly keen to hear from experienced pharmacists or pharmacologists, advanced clinical practitioners and independent prescribers who wish to be instrumental in developing and supporting future practitioners in the advancement of their careers.
Educated to master’s level or above, you will have excellent communication skills and will demonstrate enthusiasm for practice based learning, teaching and assessment alongside a passion for student success. With the ability to effectively lead, you will reinforce a willingness to use a range of innovative technologies and strategies in the support and provision of high quality learning opportunities.
You must hold current professional registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body and have a recorded independent prescribing qualification
You will additionally develop and enhance positive working relationships with NHS and other partners, to ensure that the Institute is proactive in meeting contemporary agendas and workforce development needs, especially in relation to NMP.
