A vacancy has arisen for an NMP academic with experience of current prescribing practice to join the team. This post will be suitable for either a full-time post or part-time position and a prescriber from any clinical background is encouraged to apply. Experience of V300 Independent /Supplementary prescribing is essential and enthusiasm for teaching and helping students to develop is just as important.
This can be offered as a full-time or part-time position.
The School has provided non-medical prescribing courses since 2004. The recent expansion of Independent Prescribing for health professionals draws participants from a wide range of clinical backgrounds in acute and primary care. The LSBU course is very positively evaluated by students and commissioners.
The NMP course is validated at level 6 and level 7 leading to a graduate certificate or post graduate certificate and the course is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the Health and Care Professions Council and the General Pharmaceutical Council.
