An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Diabetes clinician to join the Department of Post-Qualifying Healthcare Practice, within the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Birmingham City University. The Department of Post-Qualifying Healthcare Practice is a thriving, innovative and dynamic environment that aims to provide high quality CPD for the West Midlands health workforce. This commitment was recognised nationally with the University being named ‘Best Post-Qualifying Education Provider’ at the 2017 Student Nursing Times Awards.
This Senior Lecturer role will play a pivotal role leading the Diabetes Care pathway on our newly validated BSc (Hons) Professional Practice and MSc Professional Practice programme. In addition the post holder will play a pivotal role in developing a new innovative online MSc Diabetes programme. Also there is an expectation that you will contribute to our pre-registration Nursing and AHP programmes.
You must be a registered Nurse, be able to demonstrate evidence of on-going professional development and also hold at least a Master’s degree in a clinically relevant subject. You will also be required to demonstrate clinical currency within the speciality of diabetes.
