Salary: £40,322 – £51,034 pa dependent on skills and experience
Location: College Lane Campus, University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield.

We have exciting programmes that are newly validated (including apprenticeships) for the MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner Programme, BSc/MSc programmes for student nurses and the Nursing Associate Higher Apprenticeship Programme.
We have invested in simulation labs and equipment and are developing expertise in this field of education. We have been highly commended for our engagement with practice partners and service users and we welcome applications from nurses who wish to join this forward-looking team.

Main duties

As a Senior Lecturer your role is to support students to develop clinical skills, knowledge and practice at an advanced level. Part of your role will be to design educational resources and maintain the development of the curriculum. You will teach and assess theory, knowledge and practical clinical skills among a range of pre and post-registration students. You will work closely with our practice partners and engage with our service users and carers. You will also be expected to maintain contemporary knowledge and scholarly activity in relation to the current professional agenda and developments in advanced practice.

Experience needed

You will have proven experience in supporting clinical skills and as an ANP or other role involving advanced practice. You will also have knowledge of theoretical, policy, leadership and research requirements of advanced practice and have proven experience and knowledge of physical assessment and advanced history taking. You will have good I.T. skills and the ability to teach and facilitate the students. Any experience of managing long term conditions and primary and secondary care where advanced practice is developing is desirable for the role.

Qualifications

You will hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area and will also have current NMC registration.
If you also hold a Teaching Qualification this would be desirable.
