The AECC University College is a distinctive and specialist Higher Education Institution, internationally recognised for providing undergraduate and postgraduate education and clinical training in chiropractic, rehabilitation, exercise science, and diagnostic ultrasound.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the University College at a key stage in its development. Reporting to the Head of School for Chiropractic, the successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of teaching in chiropractic and clinical science, supervise student’s undertaking research at all levels of higher education, undertake appropriate scholarship and engage actively and enthusiastically with the academic administration, research administration and management processes of the Institution. The successful candidate will also have knowledge of national frameworks for postgraduate development in healthcare with particular familiarity of the NHS Advanced Practice framework.
About the person
The successful candidate for this role should be a UK registered health professional or be eligible to register in the UK and have a relevant qualification at Masters level. A teaching qualification or fellowship status with the Higher Education Academy and relevant academic and/or teaching experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level will be an asset. The post holder will have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and work in an evidence informed manner with relevant clinical experience. In addition, they will have contributed to peer reviewed publications and have previous experience supervising research students.
