We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced colleague to lead our BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy programme as the Course Leader. The successful candidate will provide leadership, direction and co-ordination of high-quality learning experiences for physiotherapy across three levels of the degree programme. The Course Leader will be experienced as both a physiotherapist and academic, a member of the CSP and registered with HCPC.
In the role you will act as module leader, primarily but not exclusively in areas relating to in-patients and rehabilitation with a focus on neurology and cardio-vascular and respiratory practice. You will deliver teaching across all years of the BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, as well as contribute to other programmes in the School of Allied Health and Community, such as the Foundation Year Healthcare programme or delivery of CPD courses.
The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy staff work as an inter-professional team, teaching collaboratively across shared and profession specific modules at all academic levels, and it is important that you share this philosophy. The post holder will be instrumental in enhancing existing and new curricula to support a growing number of physiotherapy students in the School. In addition, all staff are expected to engage in research and scholarly activity to enhance their own professional and academic development. Candidates are expected to highlight their areas of expertise in practice and identify how they intend to further this through scholarship and research.
