The University of Lincoln is looking to appoint a Senior Lecturer/ Academic Lead for Practice Learning who will have primary responsibility for leading the practice learning agenda in the College of Social Science. The overall purpose of the job is:
• To be responsible for the development, management and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate practice learning opportunities concordant within their programmes of education.
• To develop, implement and maintain strong collaborative relationships with partner organisations in health and social care.
• To provide a supportive learning environment for students to develop graduate level and subject specific skills.
• To contribute to teaching across the range of educational provision
The post holder will be responsible for the leadership, development, operational management and delivery of all practice learning related activities to improve the student experience on all programmes of education. The programme area spans a range of health and social care programmes which include undergraduate, post-graduate and pre-registration and post-registration awards.
You will have a strong track record of successful leadership and extensive knowledge and experience of working with partners in NHS and non-NHS service provider organisations and including Education Commissioners. Experience of working collaboratively with Professional Licensing Bodies such as the Nursing and Midwifery Council is an advantage, along with the ability to take a leadership role.
The successful candidate will be an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, who can influence and command respect across a wide variety of health care systems where complex, challenging and competing demands are commonplace. Experience of working in Higher education would also be an advantage.
