The Faculty of Health and Social Sciences is a vibrant and innovative environment containing five academic departments: Medical Science and Public Health, Nursing Science, Midwifery and Health Sciences, Rehabilitation and Sport Science and Social Sciences and Social Work and a number of research centres that focus on Clinical Research, Long Term Health Challenges, Wellbeing, Dementia and Marginalized Voices. We are investing in some exciting new positions to further align our teaching and research portfolio toward BU’s 2025 strategic plan and the UN Sustainable Development Goals and to position the faculty as a driver of social and economic change.

As a Senior Lecturer, you will be able to demonstrate expertise in MRI Radiography and Imaging. Enthusiastic about student-centred pedagogy, you will contribute to education delivery, including programme management as required, across the range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in relation to the area of Radiography, including CPD. You will also make a significant contribution to employability, and professional engagement with relevant internal and external organisations, at a regional, national and international level.

You will be qualified to Doctorate level and have a recognised MRI Radiographer qualification or be able to demonstrate the ability to create and disseminate knowledge at an equivalent level and the capability to convert this knowledge into a doctorate in a maximum of 3-5 years from the date of appointment. You will be research active and committed to a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.
