We are seeking to appoint an External Examiner for the BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult) pathway within the Interprofessional Learning Pre-Registration Programme. The successful applicant will join a team of other External Examiners in both Adult Nursing and other professions.
The Interprofessional Learning Pre-Registration Programme comprises nine pathways of which the Adult Nursing Pathway is the largest. The other pathways are Child Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work, Diagnostic Radiography, Occupational Therapy, ODP and Paramedic Science. We have two intakes a year, April and September on our Medway and Canterbury Campuses.
We have two main exam boards a year. These are usually in March and July.
You will possess a higher degree, hold a current registration with the NMC, have a demonstrable academic career in the field of study, which involves experience as a subject or programme manager (e.g. Head of Department, Programme Director, Professional Lead), and either a significant research record of national standing and/or experience of external examining.
Appointments will be effective from September 2015 for a term of four years.
