Applications are invited for two, 3-year, fixed-term posts of Research Professor in Health, based at the University of Derby’s main campus in Derby. Please note that suitably qualified candidates will be considered for the title of Professor. There is also the option of an additional 0.4FTE available to work in practice for a Clinical Commissioning Group to those with relevant background and skills in Primary Care / Public Health.
We are looking to recruit two genuinely passionate, knowledgeable, engaging and pioneering people to help shape, purpose and focus the College of Health and Social Care in terms of its external engagement, research, innovation project management and scholarship activities. The successful candidates will also play a pivotal and founding role within our new Research Centre by sharing their knowledge, expertise and authentic interest in Primary Care / Public Health with colleagues and students.
We are looking for two outstanding people who have excellent influencing and networking skills, together with a strong negotiating prowess, fantastic interpersonal skills, boundless energy and a vision to provide the leadership and drive to establish a dynamic and enthusiastic community of academic staff and students. Another key part of the role will be to work with other senior colleagues within the University and the NHS to further develop the potential of academic staff in the area of research excellence.
