The Division of Nursing at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh are seeking two External Examiners, with previous experience of collaborative international undergraduate programmes, to work with us on our undergraduate transnational education programmes.
The BSc (Hons) Nursing in Greece started in 2016 and is taught and assessed almost entirely in Greek. The external examiner will require to be a registered nurse and experienced lecturer, fluent in both spoken and written Greek and English languages and preferably with some prior external examining experience.
The BSc (Hons) Nursing in Egypt is an established programme leading to a dual award with The British University in Egypt and is taught and assessed in English. The external examiner will require to be a registered nurse and experienced lecturer and preferably with some prior external examining experience. Following the advice of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office they must also be prepared to travel to Cairo.
Each external examiner will be required to attend two Boards of Examiners per year; one in country and one by Video conference or Skype.
These separate appointments will each run from September 2018 to December 2022.
