The role is not subject specific, but does require understanding of University and professional requirements of specific programmes. Full details of the programmes will be provided to appointees and an induction day will be held by the University following appointment. UWS policy for external examiners is available at
Experienced and new external examiners will be considered provided the applicant has the relevant professional qualifications and experience. Registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse and with a valid teaching qualification is essential.
The appointments will be from 1st October 2014 for a 4-year term.
