The Institute of Healthcare Policy and Practice, within the School of Health, Nursing and Midwifery is seeking to appoint a senior researcher to join our interdisciplinary team. The Professor/Reader will be an established researcher with demonstrable expertise in Older Person’s Health and or dementia. The professor/reader will lead a research grouping delivering a programme of research and enterprise activities related to our Institute Research Programmes and the Alzheimer Scotland Centre for Policy and Practice priorities. They will build on their own expertise and that of School colleagues. Securing high quality research grants with internal and external collaborators including the public and students, the professor will build a confident team of applied researchers and scholars with an international reputation for excellence and innovation. The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, visionary and energetic individual with demonstrable commitment to the applied research agenda of the Institute and commitment to the promotion of research teaching linkages.
