The Institute of Healthcare Policy and Practice, within the School of Health, Nursing and Midwifery is seeking to appoint a senior researcher to join our interdisciplinary team. The Professor/Reader will be an established researcher with demonstrable expertise in an area of Healthcare that aligns with our existing research strengths. The professor/reader will lead a research grouping delivering a programme of research and enterprise activities related to the Institute Research Programmes and priorities. In particular we welcome applicants who have a track record relevant to one of more of our research Research Groupings which might for example include acute adult healthcare, healthcare associated infections, long term conditions and mental health. The professor/reader will build on their own expertise and that of School colleagues. Securing high quality research grants with internal and external collaborators including the public and students, the professor will build a confident team of applied researchers and scholars with an international reputation for excellence and innovation. The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, visionary and energetic individual with demonstrable commitment to the applied research agenda of the Institute and commitment to the promotion of research teaching linkages.
