Description: With its vision to the be the provider of choice of first class contemporary education, informed by research and innovation, the School of Nursing & Midwifery is establishing a unique innovative engagement across clinical partners through the embedding of research focussed academic units in local NHS Trusts to drive forward co-produced clinical research, promote inter-professional working, embed evidence based learning in practice and offer a framework for clinical academic careers.

To be part of this vision, the School is looking for an exceptional individual to lead Midwifery at Plymouth. We are expanding our provision and are committed to providing students with innovative and high quality undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will be an experienced educationalist able to provide academic leadership, across teaching, enterprise and research. We work closely with our placement providers and you will have demonstrable experience in building, developing and maintaining networks with our various stakeholders and partners.

We encourage applications from highly motivated individuals, who are registered as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and can undertake the Lead Midwife in Education role/function, hold an NMC and HE recognised teaching qualification and ideally a PhD or Professional Doctorate.

37 hours per week on a permanent basis. The post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check and regular travel will be required.
