An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Professional Lead in Social Work within the Department of Allied Health Professions, Midwifery and Social Work, School of Health and Social Work due to the promotion of the current post holder. The post holder will be responsible for providing professional leadership ranging from curricula content to strategic directions for the social work profession and maintaining and enhancing strong partnerships with local providers and professional and regulatory bodies as well as teaching on the programmes. The post holder will also provide academic and line management of their subject group.
You will be an experienced social worker registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) with experience of teaching in the higher education sector. You will have proven leadership skills, and be able to demonstrate the ability to lead and manage others.
You should have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject. A doctorate or working towards a PhD, Doctorate or doctoral level study is desirable. You will have a sound knowledge of research and experience of developing innovative ways of delivering our curricula relevant to contemporary social work.
