Full time position working 37 hours per week, 1.0 FTE
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Professional Lead in Paramedic Science within the Department of Allied Health Professions and Midwifery, School of Health and Social Work due to the impending retirement of the current post holder. You will be responsible for providing professional leadership ranging from curricula content to strategic directions for the paramedic profession and maintaining and enhancing strong partnerships with local providers and professional and regulatory bodies. You will also provide academic management of their subject group.
You will be an experienced paramedic registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) with experience of teaching in the higher education sector. Previous management and leadership experience is desirable. You should have a Masters degree and ideally a doctorate or be working towards completion of a doctoral programme. You will have a sound knowledge of research and experience of developing innovative ways of delivering our curricula.
