We are looking for an exceptional academic leader who has the confidence, vision and capability to ensure that Sheffield Hallam University is at the centre of healthcare transformation in the United Kingdom. You’ll come into an already strong multi-disciplinary faculty of health and well-being, with outstanding student satisfaction and an extra-ordinary track record of innovation. You’ll understand the strengths we already have, but be able to set the pace for a step change in the performance of the faculty.

You’ll be an outstanding manager and an exceptional leader, able to operate at scale, ensuring that the faculty’s 600 staff and almost 9000 students are superbly led. You’ll be able to make imaginative connections between healthcare and population well-being, across a faculty whose work addresses healthy lifestyles, illness prevention / treatment and rehabilitation, and works across healthcare professions, social care, biosciences, sport and leisure

You’ll join a recently refreshed university leadership team with an ambitious agenda for the future of one of the UK’s largest universities: a university committed to transforming lives through teaching, research and imaginative engagement throughout and beyond its region..

You’ll be able to define and lead the Faculty’s strategic objectives, and contribute to wider University development, working collaboratively and taking leadership for a cross-institutional portfolio. You’ll be able to command the confidence of health sector, government and business partners locally, regionally and nationally.
