An opportunity has arisen within the School of Nursing for a Principal Lecturer to support the Head of School by providing academic leadership and enhancing the achievement of excellent quality and performance standards. The successful applicant will lead a team of lecturers and senior lecturers in the development and delivery of the adult nursing pre-registration programme.

The successful applicant will have a strong record of academic leadership in adult nursing, supported by experience of experience of working with various external bodies or relevant employers, and building and sustaining relationships with relevant stakeholders. Experience of leading change to embrace new ways of working and successful project management are essential requirements of this role.

Education to Doctorate, Higher Degree or equivalent professional qualifications/experience, including a Teaching qualification or equivalent is essential. The successful applicant will also have full membership of a relevant Professional body in the area of adult nursing along with HEA fellowship or senior fellowship. Utilising strong communication skills, both verbal and written, you will have the ability to generate clear and concise documentation. With academic leadership, organisation and project planning skills, the successful applicant will be a self-motivated, self-reliant, pro-active and able to build effective teams.
