One of four University faculties, the Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing has over 500 staff members and 11,000 students. The Faculty comprises a wide and diverse range of subject areas, research and knowledge exchange activities, organised through four Institutes; the Institute of Human Science, the Institute of Health, the Institute of Community and Society and the Institute of Education.

The Institute of Health includes a wide range of professionally qualifying health care courses.

We are growing to meet the needs of people who wish to work with a host of employers in healthcare and related areas. We include courses in nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, paramedic science, podiatry and a wide range of continuing professional development opportunities. We are expanding on our newly developed skills centres to offer hands-on teaching of nursing and healthcare professions skills through a comprehensive range of state of the art equipment.

We are seeking candidates for the role of Head of Practice within the Institute of Health. You will contribute to the achievement of Faculty and University strategic objectives, by taking responsibility of strategic leadership, management and development of practice learning across the range of professional programmes in the Institute of Health and for leading the quality assurance and enhancement of practice learning in these areas.

You will work collaboratively with relevant departments across the faculty and the university to enhance the provision of practice learning opportunities. You will be an excellent communicator and will be able to evidence the ability to engage with external partners and employers.
