The main purpose of this post is to lead the recently validated MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice
programme (apprenticeship and non-apprenticeship pathways), operationalise the curriculum, and support
the development of students in acquiring the knowledge and skills required for Advanced Clinical Practice.

This includes policy, leadership, research and education together with advanced diagnostics, decision
making and therapeutic interventions.

The post will include leading a team as well as the delivery of theoretical and practical teaching, and assessment of students’ practical and written work.

You will have proven knowledge of the requirements for Advanced Clinical Practice and evidence of your own skills in advanced practice.

This programme is multidisciplinary across the School of Health and Social Work and the School of Life and Medical Sciences. The programme is validated for apprenticeship and non-apprenticeship pathways therefore the post involves:

  • Responsibility for the compliance requirements associated with the apprenticeship
  • Being the main University contact point for employers throughout the apprenticeship
  • Working with Business Development and employers to interview applicants as part of the admissions process
  • Working with Academic Services and Legal and Governance Services to ensure that initial needs
    assessments are held prior to programme start and applicants’ programmes are structured
    accordingly

You will have evidence of contemporary knowledge and scholarly activity in relation to the current professional
agenda and developments in advanced practice across disciplines.
