We have an exciting programme that is newly validated (including an apprenticeship route) for MSc Advanced Clinical Practice. We also have newly validated BSc/MSc programmes for student nurses and the Nursing Associate Higher Apprenticeship Programme, including apprenticeships. Main duties & responsibilities
This role is to lead the recently validated MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice programme (apprenticeship and non-apprenticeship versions), operationalise the curriculum, and to support the development of students in acquiring the knowledge and skills required for Advanced Clinical Practice. This includes policy, leadership, research and education together with advanced diagnostics, decision making and therapeutic intervention. The post will include theoretical and practical teaching, as well as assessment of students’ practical and written work. Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Curriculum development, programme reporting and monitoring activates
  • Marketing, recruitment and admission of students, including apprentices
  • Working with practice partners, including HEE and NHS Trust Education Leads
  • Designing education resources
  • Engagement with service users and carers

Skills and experience needed
You will have proven experience in programme and curriculum management, and be conversant with advanced clinical practice, as well as the proficiencies required by the NMC (2018) Standards. The post requires that you have proven experience in physical assessment and advanced history taking (in a clinical area); and a good understanding of the current professional agenda and developments in advanced practice. You will also be required to have strong team working skills with academics, service users and practices. In addition to strong verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications required
Registered Nurse (with current NMC registration)
Master’s Degree in a relevant subject
