This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional and experienced advanced clinical practitioner with evidence of excellence in academic and professional practice to take a leading role in developing this discipline.
The applicant will have a strong academic background with evidence of dissemination of good practice to others, the post holder further the University of Worcester’s excellent reputation in advanced clinical practice by leading developments in this discipline across the Institute and wider university. This post holder will provide strategic leadership in developing and delivering learning and teaching subject expertise in the advanced generic subjects within the advancing clinical practice agenda, e.g., clinical decision making, challenging practice, leadership and service evaluation and improvement but will also be required to provide strategic leadership in learning and teaching expertise in advanced specialist subjects, e.g., prescribing options. The post holder will lead staff to achieve institutional goals through teamwork and flexible co-operation. You will lead and teach on undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes in order to develop effective independent learners, and lead others in the development of innovative and challenging curricula that meet the current and future needs of students and employers. As principal lecturer you will work closely with the Head of Unit and Programme Leads to develop advanced clinical practice through new CPD and postgraduate course offers.
