The successful applicant will have a strong academic background with evidence of effective dissemination of good practice to others. The post holder will further the University of Worcester’s excellent reputation in pre-registration nurse education by leading developments in this discipline. This post holder will provide strategic leadership in developing and delivering learning and teaching subject expertise in pre and post registration nurse education through furthering the academic community and providing academic leadership in ensuring the programmes meet internal and external quality drivers.
The post holder will lead staff to make an effective contribution to institutional goals through teamwork and flexible co-operation. You will lead and teach on undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes in order to develop effective independent learners, and lead others in the development of innovative and challenging curricula that meet employer and service user needs through partnership.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Academic Head and in collaboration with partner trusts, independent and voluntary sector organisations to enhance nursing in university and practice arenas. The Institute is committed to inter-professional learning and engagement of users and carers in the curriculum.
The applicant will have a realistic vision for developing their own research and that of others alongside others in the team. The post holder will be supported to contribute to the national and international standing and reputation for the applied research undertaken in the Institute.
