This is an exciting opportunity within the recently created School of Nursing. The school has three fields of Pre-Registration Nursing; Adult, Mental Health and Children’s Nursing, together with a range of continuing professional development programmes.
You will provide strategic and operational leadership of pre-registration nursing education with particular regard to the student experience; contributing to the formulation and implementation of strategy and policy and supporting the attainment of critical success factors; maintaining the quality of delivery and contemporary focus of the programme.
Amongst the key essentials required for this post, you must be able to demonstrate substantial academic operational management experience within the HE sector and possess a strong record of successful academic leadership in Nurse Education. With excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills, you must have demonstrable experience of building and sustaining excellent working relationships both internally and externally.
You should have experience of managing education, research and innovation, motivating staff and leading a team. You will also have extensive, demonstrable experience of working with QA processes, governance systems, and the regulatory processes related to the management of nursing education programmes. This is underpinned by your understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing UK Health Care Higher Education.
It is essential that you possess a Nursing professional qualification, and are registered with NMC. A higher degree in nursing or a related discipline is essential.
