The Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education at Middlesex University is seeking to appoint a pre-registration External Examiner for our two pre-registration midwifery programmes, three year and shortened programmes. The appointment will be effective from October 2021 and will run for a period of four years.
We are seeking to appoint an individual who has a Master’s Degree and a strong background in pre-registration midwifery education. The individual needs to have current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and hold a PGCert HE, or equivalent. Previous External Examination experience is preferable.
The tenure of the appointment is for four years and will be subject to approval by the Faculty quality committee.
Duties include external review of a range of assessments on our virtual platform, attendance at assessment boards which occur approximately four times per year, submission of an annual report and advising on any proposed module modifications.
Successful applicants will be given all necessary information and will be invited to attend an induction event.
