We are seeking to appoint to a Post Doctoral Research Assistant to work on examining the links between metabolic dysfunction, inflammation and blood platelets. The researcher will be located between the research laboratories of Dr Francisco Rivero and Dr Roger Sturmey in the Centre for Atherothrombosis and Metabolic Disease (Hull York Medical School).

This post is focused on platelet responses to metabolic stress. The successful candidate will hold a PhD (or close to submission) in a relevant area of biochemistry or molecular biology. Applicants should have experience in the isolation of blood platelets or biochemical analysis of metabolic and bioenergetic pathways.
