The School of Allied Health Professions and Midwifery have developed a strong portfolio of education provision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels for Physiotherapy, Diagnostic Radiography, Occupational Therapy, Paramedic Science and Midwifery with staff contributing to teaching across Nursing and Health care leadership and the Physician Associate programmes.

The School is seeking two highly motivated Physiotherapy General Teaching Assistants who also wish to undertake research based PhDs. You will work part time alongside our award winning Physiotherapy teaching team as well as in the Physiotherapy and Sport Rehabilitation Clinic to support students developing their physiotherapy and sport rehabilitation knowledge and skills for both the 3 year BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy Programme and our innovative 4 year MPhysiotherapy – Sport and Exercise Medicine programme.

You will also be expected to undertake a PhD which aligns to ‘Bones’, ‘Knees’ or a proposal of your own with a Physiotherapy or Sport Rehabilitation focus. Your fees will be paid for a period of 4 years and you will be supervised by our research active physiotherapy staff and our wider professorial team.

You will demonstrate enthusiasm for your speciality and a willingness to be innovative and creative while making use of development opportunities to improve yourself. You will work collaboratively with staff in the School of Allied Health Professions and Midwifery, particularly the Physiotherapy team.

Tis is a part time fixed term role (0.5 FTE, 4 year fixed term contract)
