Open to NHS employees in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
The Department of Health Sciences, University of York, is inviting applications for a funded (fees-only) PhD studentship, available on a full-time or part-time basis to NHS employees in the Yorkshire and Humber region. This studentship, due to commence in October 2016, is part of a strategic initiative aimed at ambitious healthcare professionals who are keen to contribute to the Department’s growing nursing and midwifery research profile. The studentship will provide a comprehensive training package, designed to meet the needs of the individual student, across a wide range of health research methodologies.
This PhD project is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their own research proposal in the field of nursing or midwifery research (i.e. of relevance to and/or directly inform nursing or midwifery practice) which connects with one or more of the Department’s existing research themes: Public health; Health Policy; Cancer Epidemiology; Cardiovascular Health; Trials and Statistics; Mental Health and Addictions.
