The School of Health is seeking to appoint one External Examiner for the following programmes:
Postgraduate Diploma and BSc (Hons) Specialist Community Public Health Nurse – School Nursing
Postgraduate Diploma and BSc (Hons) Specialist Community Public Health Nurse – Sexual Health Adviser
Shared Modules at Level 6 & 7:
Principles of Public Health and Social Policy
Healthy Child, Healthy Adult: Safeguarding Healthy Development
Pathway Specific Modules at Level 6 & 7:
Consolidation of School Nursing Practice
Consolidation of Sexual Health Adviser Practice
The SCPHN course for School Nurses and Sexual Health Advisers (approximately 10 – 15 students per year) is taught alongside the SCPHN Health Visiting pathway. An inter-pathway approach to teaching and learning is an integral part of the BSc (Hons) and PG Diploma routes. Knowledge and experience in developing and teaching similar programmes is an essential requirement for this post.
