Salary: £60,000- 65,000pa
The Nursing and Midwifery Council regulates nurses and midwives in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland setting standards of education, training, conduct and performance so that nurses and midwives can deliver high quality healthcare throughout their careers.

About the role
As part of our programme of change for education we are modernising the standards for the education and training of nurses and midwives so they equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to practise now and in the future. As we develop new standards, the way we quality assure nursing and midwifery education will also change to ensure a proportionate approach to QA of education that puts public protection at its core.
We are looking for a Head of Education and Quality Assurance to provide leadership and vision during this exciting time and to lead the education, quality assurance (QA) and standards teams. As Head, you will ensure high quality levels of performance and support the efficient and effective delivery of our education strategic delivery plans.
The successful candidate will be the senior lead for education QA data and intelligence and quality improvement, and will work with senior colleagues across the organisation to meet business plans and strategic objectives.
Skills and experience required
We are looking for a candidate with proven management and leadership experience who is able to manage a complex programme of work. You will have experience of leading the implementation of quality assurance programmes with a very good understanding of UK wide education and healthcare sectors. You will be an excellent communicator and be able to build relationships with strategic stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify and implement opportunities for improvement in our ways of working.
