MSc Physiotherapy (accelerated route).
We are seeking to appoint an External Examiner with effect from September 2015.
The MSc Physiotherapy programme is a pre-registration programme for graduates with an existing BSc in a relevant science based subject. The programme starts in September, and runs for two calendar years. It is a self-funded course and will recruit approximately 10 students per annum. Students study 8 academic modules over the 2 years, concluding with a dissertation. Academic study is integrated with 5, non-credit rated clinical placements and successful graduates are eligible for registration with the HCPC.
As sole external examiner for the programme, you will have responsibility for scrutinising and reporting on academic work and for attending the University of Cumbria module assessment boards which run in February, June and October. Interested applicants would normally have experience of external examining in at least one other Higher Education Institution.
Please note that we are unable to accept applications from you if:
- You are a current external examiner within the University of Cumbria or have been in the previous three years.
- You are currently professionally involved with members of the programme team.
- You have been employed within the previous three years by the University of Cumbria or at one of its associate institutions.
