An opportunity has arisen to undertake a full-time PhD studentship on: The culture of healthcare and the impact on nursing practice.

As part of the application process you will be required to submit a research proposal in which you can demonstrate a passion for the area of research, an in-depth understanding of the issues relating to culture in the healthcare setting, and that you have an ability to develop the methodology and methods to carry out the investigation. It is likely that a case study approach will be used.

Candidates should have a minimum of a 2:1 degree in a nursing or related area, and have studied and passed research methods to Master’s level.

The studentship will be based at Anglia Ruskin University. Funding of £15,000 per year is available for three years and students will be expected to complete the work in this time. The studentship will start in June 2014. Fees will be paid at the UK funding threshold.
