The Public Heath team has over 30 years’ experience of academic leadership & research. We support the local, national & international public health workforce. Our teaching spans undergraduate, postgraduate & professional education. Our research & scholarship is often collaborative; working with local & international partners e.g. supporting teachers working with children with life-limiting illness, advancing health visitor practice, inter-professional working around domestic abuse & international aspects of sexual health. Our SCPHN programme is accredited by UNICEF for meeting the Baby Friendly Initiative University Standards.
You would join a welcoming, proactive team to provide teaching & related scholarly activity & deliver fundamental principles of public health across curricula with particular focus on our SCPHN programme for aspiring health visitors & school nurses.
You will have a relevant degree, be registered with the NMC Part 1 &/or Part 2 as well as Part 3 & be working towards or have completed a relevant higher degree. You will have experience of working as a lecturer in HE & will have had at least 3 years’ experience working in health visiting or school nursing practice including supporting students in the practice environment. You will have excellent teaching & communication skills & the ability to support others in their learning.
